Noordung′s Perspective

Learn about the ideas of space travel as imagined by the pioneers of space technology and rocketry.

Significant progress in the development of modern space science was achieved in the 20th century when space technology researchers unveiled their theories concerning rocket technology and later put some of those ideas into practice. In addition to Herman Potočnik Noordung, the exhibition also presents the work and life of other key figures who enabled space travel as we know it today, introducing: Konstantin Ciolkovsky, Robert Goddard, Hermann Oberth, Wernher von Braun and Sergey Koroljov.

Many ideas about space travel were also presented in popular culture at a time when the public didn’t yet know much about the universe. The exhibition includes viewing excerpts from films and TV shows that present science fiction ideas about travelling “up there” into the infinity of the universe.
