Project duration: 17. 4. 2018–6. 4. 2021
Aim and objectives
Through the ASIS project, co-financed by the Interreg Alpine Space Programme, and with the support of a strong partnership, we focused on developing strategic guidelines for the implementation of social innovation in the Alpine region. Eleven recognised partners, covering the entire Alpine region, concentrated on Specific Objective 1 – strengthening innovation in the Alpine region. The project’s content focused on the development of a strategy to accelerate social innovation.
The aim of the project was to explore the field of social innovation in the region, provide a clear understanding of the concept, and directly involve as many key stakeholders as possible in its implementation. We proposed concrete recommendations to inform the development of future local, regional, and national policies to promote social innovation in a sustainable way.
In addition to the project partners, 16 influential observers were involved in the project, including relevant ministries, municipalities, regional development institutions, representatives of cities, and other support organisations.
