European Mobility Week (EMW) is an annual campaign by the European Commission, held in Slovenia from 16th to 22nd of September, promoting sustainable mobility. During this week, municipalities organise activities such as car-free street closures, promotion of walking, cycling, and public transport, and raising awareness about the environmental and social impacts of transport.
The campaign aims to encourage fair and safe use of public space, improve transport accessibility for all population groups, and reduce traffic congestion.
