Last Thursday, January 9th we hosted an interesting guest who prepared a comprehensive lecture on the topic of SPACE MISSIONS. Everyone was thrilled and we are looking forward to new lecturers at Center Noordung in the future in 2020.
The lecture highlighted the motives and risks of space missions and the eternal questions of why humans explore space and what are the benefits of space exploration for humanity, with a brief overview of the financial strengths of space superpowers to implement such complex and multidisciplinary projects.
We also talked about future plans and missions to the Moon and Mars, and about a new space age that is intensifying with the arrival of private companies, especially in the United States (Space X, Blue Origin), which together with NASA (National Space Agency) are developing public private partnerships and systems to send humans and robotic missions to the Moon and Mars over the next two decades.
